"Pastel Stained'glass"
The art critic Vladimir Bulat about Maria Iosub

“Chromatic is what overwhelms in Maria Iosub works, because it is an, so to say, “non-artistic” inventory; in her paintings we do not seek for harmonisation, school like automatism, spiritual servitude to please the imagined buyer, with spiritualist claims .... In these images all is for real!

The reason becomes pure painting, extroverted colouring impulse, alive, dynamic, intense, frolicsome built, but thoroughly. I can not but occult the presence of an active craft, mature, and not from a textbook, but truly creative. The artist does not rely on visual shocks, visual magnetism, frills and occult languages.

Her work has a therapeutic-cognitive purpose.

Exactly these urge you to do after you see her paintings: to travel, to rest, to eat, to get cheerful, to love, to meditate...

I sense that these components, art, generally, no longer fulfils anymore!

Art became merchandise, marketing strategy, or just against this dimension is positioned the Maria Iosub entire creation”.
